------------------------------------------
1) Introduction
Fanfare! is a comprehensive music theory program designed to help a
musician master aural perception, rhythm, and theory skills through a
progression of eleven topics. These topics are:
* Tuning
* Clefs
* Key Signatures
* Rhythms
* Notes
* Scales
* Intervals
* Triads
* Seventh Chords
* Chord Doublings
* Cadences
Some powerful learning features included in fanfare:
* Random generation so that drills do not repeat after frequent use
* Integrated topics that include theory and aural perception in a
single drill session
* Extensive customization options
* Score windows
* Piano keyboard
* Help window tutorials which include theory instruction for each topic
* A familiar windows based environment
One of the most exciting features of Fanfare! is the integration of
theory and aural perception into unified topics with extensive
customization options. By integrating theory and aural perception,
Fanfare! allows the user to quickly switch between notating, listening,
identifying and playing notes, triads, chords, cadencial chord
progressions, and rhythms. Each topic also includes options windows
which give the user virtually total control over their practice
session. Having trouble hearing the difference between a perfect fourth
and a perfect fifth? Set the intervals option to play only perfect
fourths and fifths. Need practice reading and writing notes in the
tenor clef? Set the clefs option to use the tenor clef.
Fanfare! is a powerful learning environment which allow the user to
customize the practice time to their personal needs, integrate their
theory, aural perception and keyboard knowledge, and repeat the drills
until they have mastered the topic.
2) Installing the demo
To install the demo, simply extract the Fandemo.zip file into a temporary
directory, run Install.exe, and follow the prompts. The extracted files in
the temporary directory can be deleted after installation.
